START TIMES

• 9:15 am for Premier Championship

• 9:30 am for Junior and Open Championship 

• 9:45 am for Juniors, Primary, Reserve and Classic

• 10:00 am for Novice sections

REGISTRATION FEE

• $60 until 14 days prior to the tournament (early bird)

• $70 until 48 hours prior to the tournament (regular rate)

• $90 for waitlist, or within 48 hours of the tournament (late entry)

BYES​

Premier Championship Section: No byes are available in this section

All Other Sections:

Half point byes may be requested as follows:​​

• All half-point bye requests must be made prior to round 2 pairings. 

• Half-point bye requests cannot be changed once round 2 is paired. 

• Bye requests can be made by emailing admin@pelikings.org or by visiting Chess Control on-site.​​

SECTION CUTOFFS AND PAIRINGS​

​Championship and Classic section cutoffs and pairings are based on live USCF ratings. All other rated sections are based on monthly USCF published (“book”) ratings. Please note that it is the player’s obligation to register for the correct section. Players that register for the wrong section may be reassigned or removed from the tournament in the organizer’s sole discretion.​​

DISCOUNTS (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY)​​

• Siblings: $10 off per child (discount code: SIBLING)

• Junior Championship: free registration for players rated 1500+ (discount code: 1500+)

• Open Championship: free registration for players rated 1900+ (discount code: 1900+)

• Premier Championship: free registration for scholastic players rated 2400+ (discount code: 2400+)

Note: Discounts are available until 30 days prior to the tournament, and are subject to availability. Max 10 free entries per section. Please note that entry discounts will be offset against cash prizes of $50 of more.

REGISTRATION

​Registration closes at 6:00 am on the day of the tournament, subject to availability, however the organizers reserve the right to close registration at any time during the registration period.

PLEASE NOTE: TOURNAMENT ENTRIES ARE NOT VALID UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. THE ORGANIZER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO RESCIND ENTRIES, FOR ANY REASON, IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION.
