This event is specially designed for:

Whether your child is playing in their very first tournament or already building confidence competing, this is a welcoming and fun environment for young chess players to learn, grow, and shine.

EVENT LOCATION: ENTER 185 1ST AVE MAIN ENTRANCE PS 19 EVCS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
EVENT TIME: 9:00 AM CHECK IN – END BY 2:00 PM
ROUND:
GAME 1 : 9:15 AM
GAME 2 : 10:25 AM
LUNCH BREAK : 11:30 – 11:45 PM
GAME 3 : 11:50 AM
AWARDS: 1:00 PM
TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE
3 ROUNDS OF CHESS: EACH PLAYER WILL PLAY 3 GAMES.
30 + 0 TIME CONTROL: EACH PLAYER WILL GET A 30 MINUTES ON THE CLOCK TO TRY AND WIN.
3 SECTIONS:
U-1000 RATED- RATED SECTION – USCF MEMBERSHIP NEEDED & OPEN GRADES K-6
U-400 RATED– RATED SECTION – USCF MEMBERSHIP NEEDED & OPEN GRADES K-6
JUNIOR UNRATED- BEGINNER PLAYERS WITH NO RATING IN GRADES 3-6 ONLY.
YOUTH UNRATED- BEGINNER PLAYERS WITH NO RATING IN GRADES K-2
PRIZES
The top 3 winners in each section will receive prizes, along with medals for other players.
The winner of the open section will be acknowledged as the PS 19 EVCS Champion!
