DESCRIPTION:SAVE THE DATE!\nSophie Krupp Charitable Chess Festival 2025\nSunday\, September 28\, at Speyer School\nThe Inaugural Sophie Krupp Charitable Chess Festival will be held on Sunday\, September 28\, at Speyer School (925 Ninth Avenue at 59th Street in New York City). Join us for a full day of fun and social activities\, including Rapid and Blitz tournaments\, Grand Master appearances\, simultaneous exhibitions\, chess raffles\, and more. \nThis joint effort between Speyer and Chess-in-the-Schools is open to all USCF members and will help support girls chess in NYC. \nCheck back often as we will be updating this page with more details about this inaugural event as we get closer to the date! \n\nEvent #1 \nMorning Rapid Tournament:  3ss G/15+3!\nPlayers will be grouped into twelve 8-player sections based on rating. $50 entry fee.\nChess sets provided. Please bring a clock. Check in by 9:15 AM.\nREGISTER HERE! \nEvent #2 \nTimed Simultaneous Exhibition with a Grandmaster!\nPlay in a 10-board simul against one of three Grandmasters: GM Irina Krush\, GM Brewington Hardaway\, or a mystery GM!\nParticipants will be assigned a GM.\nPlayers get 45 minutes\, GMs get 1 hour and 15 minutes. Max rating is 2000.\nREGISTER HERE! \nEvent #3 \nAfternoon Blitz Tournament: 4ss G/5+3!\nPlayers will be grouped into six 16-player sections based on rating. $50 entry fee.\nChess sets provided.
