A player who raises this issue at the board without it having been reviewed by the Chief Tournament Director must not assume the requested accommodation will be granted for the current round.\nPlayers Kindergarten through Grade 2\, per US Chess National Scholastic Chess Tournament Regulations\, will not be required to keep score. If a K-2 player is paired against a Grade 3-5 player\, a 5-minute time penalty will be assessed to the K-2 player to allow the Grade 3-5 player notation time.

SUMMARY:Bilimly Free Chess Tournament - Saturday April 4\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:https://www.bilimly.org/events \n\n\n\nOur community chess tournaments are held at the Brooklyn Public Library and are completely free for kids. Depending on the number of participants\, we organize both rated and unrated events\, giving players of all levels the chance to compete and grow.  \nEach tournament is a series of 3 games (G25/D5) and is limited to about 40 players to ensure a comfortable\, organized\, and enjoyable experience for everyone. Students are also divided into 4 sections based on USCF rating: Beginner (Unrated)\, Novice (Under 600)\, Reserve (Under 1000)\, and Advanced (Under 1600).  \nOur main goal is to strengthen our young players\, build confidence\, and provide local tournament opportunities right here in Brooklyn — so families don’t have to travel to other boroughs to enjoy quality chess events. \nThrough these events\, we aim to create a fun\, friendly\, and educational atmosphere where every child feels welcome and proud to play.
