Players are split into groups of four (quads) by rating\, although divisions into sections of six (swiss format) are occasionally implemented circumstantially (to either accommodate numbers or better group players based on rating). In addition\, we offer a $60 cash prize for winners of each section and a $15 award for swiss section runners up. \nPlayers rated under 1000 play in G/30;d5 sections (30 minutes per person with a five second delay per turn)\, while players rated over 1000 play in G/45;d5 sections (45 minutes per person with a five second delay). Each competitor is guaranteed three rated games. For new players\, click HERE to learn how to get an official rating. \nThe tournament entry fee is $30 and online registration closes at 12pm the day of the tournament. In addition\, onsite registration is available on the day of the tournament from 10 AM to 12:30 PM. Both online and onsite registration will close once our maximum capacity of 80 participants is reached. \nIt is important that you are aware of our cancellation policy. Cancellations made by 10:00 AM on the day of the tournament will receive a full refund. Cancellations after 10:00 AM are non-refundable.
