Please arrive 15 minutes before your start time. Special instructions for our Unrated Sections will be presented at 10:15am in the auditorium. \nNo Score (Kindergarten Only) 4 rounds.\nStart / Est. End Time: 10:30am / 2:30pm. This section is specially designed for K children new to chess tournaments and might not remember all the rules. Tournament Directors will guide the children and results will not be recorded. Trophies awarded to all players. \nK-1 Novice (Kindergartners and First Grade) 4 rounds.\nStart / Est. SUMMARY:NY State Magnus League 7th-12th Grades
DESCRIPTION:2025-2026: Oct 5\, Nov 9\, Dec 7\, Jan 25\, Feb 22\, Mar 23\, Apr 26 \n\nWe are open to players in Grades 7-12 (who are also born after 4/21/2005).\nPlayers can play as individuals as well as part of a school team.\nWe have both individual and team prizes! \nWe also have Mixed Doubles Tems Bonus Prizes! \n\nMixed Doubles teams are two players\, one male\, one female (they can be from any sections and any schools)\, with an average team rating Under 2200 at signup deadline.  Players must sign up by January 28th for Mixed Doubles.\n We have four separate sections.\n       1. Varsity\, for players rated 1800 and above (at match date or within the prior 12 months\, and invitees);\n  2. Junior-Varsity\, for players whose Official Rating is Under 2000 at match date or Unrateds;\n       3. Novice\, for players whose Official Rating is Under 1400 at match date or Unrateds;\n       4. Under 900\, for players whose Official Rating is Under 900 at match date or Unrateds.\n\n  We have two rounds each date– at about 10:00 am (all sections) and then about 12:30 pm (Under 900); about 1:30 pm (Varsity\, Junior-Varsity and Novice)– earlier if feasible.\nOur Magnus League time controls:  Varsity\, Junior-Varsity and Novice:  Game/60 + 30-second delay;   Novice:  Game/60 + 10-second delay (please bring a delay clock if you have one).\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By The Chess Center of New York and Little House Of Chess \nWith Grateful Appreciation to Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School \nFor more details\, please visit Magnusleague.org\n \nTournament Information and Online Registration are coming soon. \nContact info: director@magnusleague.org
